Twice a Year Magic brings about the discovery of new street wear lines, and the hottest new designs from the lines we love. This August 2010 KAASH discovered HOTAIR. A mens line that we believe will define a new sense of style and easy fashion. HotAir was created in 2008 by Charlie Muff and Duke Wu the founders of Artful Dodger. Inspired by non other than a hot air balloon, which can be found on detailed stitching throughout the line, as well as the logo. What me and the other KAASH girls found so nice about the line was that it made dressing stylish and fly simple again!..Take a look at video footage of me getting a preview of the fall/winter line from Demetrius Tatum account executive in charge of sales, marketing, design and merchandising . KAASH in on “Threads For Thought”!
Here is what the organic clothing line has to say …
“Style is an attitude; it is more than what we wear. At Threads for Thought we use sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton and polyester recycled from plastic water bottles to create clothing that is comfortable, beautiful, and socially conscious; then we donate a portion of our proceeds to charity. What we wear is as important as what our clothes are made of, and where and how they are put together.
Eric Fleet and Leigh Ivan founded Threads for Thought in 2006 while they were still in college. Our foundation is their belief that we should be responsible world citizens and positive contributors to a sustainable future. We create clothing from sustainable materials, build factories that respect their employees, sell clothing that is affordable, and pursue quality above all else. Style can't be traded for sustainability, nor can sustainability be traded for style. At Threads for Thought we know that neither is exclusive, and work to lead the world in both.”
We think this collection is impressive. With wearable duds from pj’s to t shirts, knits, and accessories, threads for thought (T4T) can easily become a favorite. It’s also very close to our hearts that T4T gives back to the world though charities.
KAASH discovered their special line at MAGIC and decided to spread the word about them. Take a peak at the pics we snapped. Author:~Kayla

CRAVING...
CRAVE (Los Angeles) is my newest craving. CRAVE is a guide to some of the “sassiest, gutsiest, most inspiring” woman –owned businesses in LA. KAASH aspires to be featured in this book in the near future.
We came across this book several times as we shopped along Ventura Blvd. Each shop that carried CRAVE had a special place in the book, highlighting their business. CRAVE is put together so well, catering to the urban girl and her interests, and revealing great insider deals at specialty boutiques and businesses. It even offers discount coupons to some of the most talked about spots in town.
This is such an influential tool for women business owners and Los Angeles residents and tourists. CRAVE was so inspiring to us that we wanted to share it with you. Stayed tuned for some of the fabulous business owners we caught up with! ~ Article by: Kayla
The Painted Nail
Usually you find your manicurist through word of mouth, a girlfriend tells a girlfriend and then "voila" the manicurist/ or spa becomes "in demand." What sets each nail salon apart from the next is ambiance, services offered, and customer service. KAASH happened to run across THE PAINTED NAIL a premiere nail bar located in sherman Oaks, CA. The cool and inviting colors was the initial attraction, viewing the salon through the window. The lilac n lavender walls mixed with crisp white furniture and crown molding was an ultimate pampering heaven. Once inside we were greeted with warm smiles and customer service you wouldn't expect from your average nail salon. They gave us a quick tour briefing us on what they had to offer... One of their most unique services was their Nail Printing Bar, you can select from over 5,000 different designs, and transfer them onto your nail in less then 20 seconds. You can even bring your own design for a more unique experience.
The Painted Nail services start off with the basic manicure at $20 and pedicure is $30 this includes fun scrubs and sea salts. The atmosphere is so laid back and inviting. They also host parties and events. For more information you can visit there website @ www.thepaintednail.com
