Ciara makes me want to go on a diet and work out 3 times a day..... what I love about Ciara is I always see a new up and coming designer feature somewhere in her video. I always love her play on accessories, she seems to make them focal points in her videos...

Sex And Dubai...

I recently made a trip to Borders to purchase the Sex And The City 2 book featuring the stories, the fashion, and the adventure. This is a book I think every "fashionista" should have on their coffee table!..Patricia Field traveled to Dubai for her research for this movie. She was searching for a way to bring “sex” to the Middle East. I have to say she succeded!..The book has a section called The Wardrobe Room, with non other than all the clothing that Fields had to work with to dress the ladies of Sex And The City!.. My fav part of the book??.. Pages featuring the wardrobe of each of the ladies, giving the designer break down of each perfectly put together ensembles.  Ladies this Book is a MUST HAVE!!!

Victoria's Secret

So I just put down my November issue of Marie Clair.... Every issue I fall even more in love with the magazine. This article of Victoria Beckham had me captivated, not only was it a great read, but I feel I have watched her transform into this amazing fashion icon. I remember the days of the SPICE GIRLS, and now to see her... makes me proud!!! Her upcoming project of her own fashion line moved me beyond words, she spoke on the balance of family and work, her future projects, and being IN LOVE<3

ITS ME ITS ME!!!- Felicia

What a great Idea Ashleigh had to come up with a few questions for us girls to answer, allowing you a little closer into our lives!..Thanks, Ash!

Q. Do you have a favorite fashion label?
A: Id have to say that I don’t have one particular favorite. Being a Designer, I highly respect so many labels for their creativity and fashion sense to create clothing lines with continued success. I love everything from classics like Michael Kors to funky, like Betsey Johnson and Christian Lacroix..Im a big fan of evening wear, some of my favorite dress designers like Versace and Oscar De La Renta, Roberto Cavalli and Valentino. Im a big fan of vintage..which often times is a no name label. I know I mentioned a lot of labels, I can really go on and on..Tracy Reese, Jefforey Campbell, Marc Jacobs, I mean..this is my world!!

Q. How did you dress as a teen growing up?
            A. Ha!..I went thru many stages of style!..Not sure if it was even considered style..I wore what I liked and what worked for me, same as I do today.  I went to a private high school , so wearing uniforms really limited me. In order to express myself, I was obsessed with shoes, handbags jewelry and tights. Now that I think about it, those are still my obsessions..I guess its true your child hood helps shape who you become!

Q. What's your favorite thing in your closet right now?
            A.  I would have to say a Pair of Vintage Porsche Carrera Glasses that were my dads. I love love love them!!! I get so many compliments, they are timeless!..I even have people approach me wanting to buy them..I think a vintage pair sells for somewhere between $1500-$2500! But sorry, I wont be selling!

Q. What's the best advice you have received?
            A. Let Go and Let God! And, Never Never Never give up!

Q. Facebook or Twitter?
            A. Hmm I guess 50/50

Q. Have you ever wanted to do something besides a career in fashion?
            A. Yes, as a little girl I wanted to be a doctor!..Ha!..I think lots of little girls want that. By 9 I think I knew a career in fashion was what I really wanted.  I was sketching pictures of gowns for my mom (a professional singer) to perform in.  And in high school they joked that instead of bringing my text books to class I had fashion magazines!..There was no doubt in my heart, that I would be a designer.

Q. How are you rocking your hair right now?
            A. Curly!..With two different colors because my roots are so bad, and I can’t decided on a color!..Im half reddish brown and half black…any suggestions??

Q. Who is your favorite fashion Icon?
            A. Audrey Hepburn, she’s the epitome of classy!

The Morning After – Sure To Be A Classic

Rebecca Minkoff is the Designer behind the bag many of us have heard of in the last few years, “The Morning After Bag”.  Adored by celebs, this bag put designer Minkoff on the map!..After relocating from San Diego, Ca. to New York, Minkoff started her own line consisting of 5 pieces. This line included what would be a huge hit!..an ”I Love New York” t-shirt, making it on Jay Leno, and into USWeekly.  Rebecca spent the next few years making those shirts on the floor of her NY apartment. In 2005 Rebecca decided to launch a hand bag line, to begin with The Morning After Bag. Over the years, this style has been made over in hundreds of color, fabric, trim, embellishment, and hardware options, but the shape has remained true to the original design.  Just a year after Launching her Handbag line, high-end department store Bloomingdales decided to carry her bags!..This provided Rebecca Minkoff with the national exposure she needed to expand her line. Piggybacking on the catchy pun of the Morning After Bag, Rebecca adds styles such as the Bread and Wine tote, the Paper Plastic Wallet and Cheeky Pouches with phrases such as “Benjamins” and “Trustfund” to her line.
I was inspired reading about Rebecca, because it really reminded me of The story of KAASH and me as a designer..Ms. Minkoff has achieved the success that KAASH strives for everyday. With the Launch of our Handbag line quickly approaching, its inspiring to know the stories of woman in this industry making it happen!..Look For KAASH coming soon!..And thank you Rebecca Minkoff for your tribute to FASHION!!!..

Mary N Malandrino

It’s always so inspiring to see women leaders and business women, especially when they join forces to create an even grander opportunity for other women. What is better than fashion? In my opinion nothing, until now...
Mary J. Blige unveiled a 25 piece, ready-to-wear collection with Catherine Malandrino and ELLE Magazine benefiting FFAWN, Blige's charity, at New York City's Museum Of Modern Art on June 15, 2010. The event came with a $1,000 a person ticket price, which will help cover college tuition costs for thirty graduates at the Women's Academy of Excellence in the Bronx.
“FFAWN is an acronym for The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, Inc. and is dedicated to helping women overcome their personal difficulties to reach their full life potential. FFAWN believes that education is empowerment and through a range of programs encourages women to realize their dreams and pursue their individual goals.” Mary J. Blige has  always been a trendsetter in music and with FFAWN,  many more women in entertainment will follow her extraordinary humanitarian efforts.
"Catherine is real and she makes clothing for women of all shapes and sizes", says Mary in a statement answering why she decided to collaborate with Malandrino.
When you take fashion and give a greater cause than just #wearableart, you make it so KAASH. Be a Leader. Be inspired!

Up In the Air..

Twice a Year Magic brings about the discovery of  new street wear lines, and the hottest new designs from the lines we love. This August  2010 KAASH discovered HOTAIR. A mens line that we believe will define a new sense of style and easy fashion. HotAir was created in 2008 by Charlie Muff and Duke Wu the founders of Artful Dodger. Inspired by non other than a hot air balloon, which can be found on detailed stitching throughout the line, as well as the logo. What me and the other KAASH girls found so nice about the line was that it made dressing stylish and fly simple again!..Take a look at  video footage of  me getting a preview of the fall/winter line from Demetrius Tatum account executive in charge of sales, marketing, design and merchandising .  Author~ Felicia

KAASH in on “Threads For Thought”!

Here is what the organic clothing line has to say …
“Style is an attitude; it is more than what we wear. At Threads for Thought we use sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton and polyester recycled from plastic water bottles to create clothing that is comfortable, beautiful, and socially conscious; then we donate a portion of our proceeds to charity.  What we wear is as important as what our clothes are made of, and where and how they are put together.
Eric Fleet and Leigh Ivan founded Threads for Thought in 2006 while they were still in college.  Our foundation is their belief that we should be responsible world citizens and positive contributors to a sustainable future.  We create clothing from sustainable materials, build factories that respect their employees, sell clothing that is affordable, and pursue quality above all else. Style can't be traded for sustainability, nor can sustainability be traded for style.  At Threads for Thought we know that neither is exclusive, and work to lead the world in both.”

We think this collection is impressive. With wearable duds from pj’s to t shirts, knits, and accessories, threads for thought (T4T) can easily become a favorite. It’s also very close to our hearts that T4T gives back to the world though charities.

KAASH discovered their special line at MAGIC and decided to spread the word about them. Take a peak at the pics we snapped. Author:~Kayla

Faire Frou Frou

I have an obsession with lingerie...So its only fitting for me to blog about one of the best boutiques I've been in since relocating to L.A. As you enter the doors of Faire Frou Frou..the decor invites you in with vintage furniture and fixtures filled with beautiful bras, panties and nighties. Being a lingerie freak, I was impressed with the selections Alison the boutique owner has chosen. The pieces were unique, like works of art, but still very wearable and comfortable. I highly recommend checking this boutique out!..Our undergarments are the foundation to our outfit! ~Author: Felicia
